Your Questions, Answered
-
I recommend booking your wedding florist 3 to 8 months before your wedding date, depending on the scale and floral needs of your celebration.
That said, we do occasionally accept last-minute weddings when availability allows, so it never hurts to inquire.
Peak season dates—especially Saturdays in spring and fall—tend to book earliest.
-
Our floral minimum varies depending on season and wedding date.
Peak season minimums are:
Saturday weddings: $4,000
Sunday weddings: $3,500
Weekday weddings: $3,000
Holiday & holiday weekend weddings: $7,000During slower seasons, we may accommodate lower minimums depending on floral needs and availability.
Most Ivy & Bloom couples invest around $4,000+ in wedding flowers.

A signed contract and 30% non-refundable retainer are required to officially reserve your wedding date.
Dates are not held without a signed contract and retainer payment.
The remaining balance may be paid through monthly installments or as a lump sum due 30 days before your wedding.
Invoices unpaid after the final due date may be subject to late fees.
-
Not at all.
In fact, most couples do not know specific flower varieties when they first inquire.
To begin designing your proposal, the most helpful details are:
wedding date
venue
guest count
bridal party count
floral budget
color palette
decision makers involved in planning
Most importantly, I want to understand how you want your wedding to feel.
That emotional direction often matters more than exact flower names.
-
Ivy & Bloom does not typically offer physical floral mockups.
Because flowers are seasonal and availability can change due to weather, growing conditions, and market supply, mockup flowers often do not reflect the exact blooms used on your wedding day.
Instead, we guide design decisions through inspiration photos, mood boards, curated color palettes, and detailed proposals.
This allows us to stay focused on the overall design vision rather than exact flower recipes.
-
I love inspiration photos.
Whether they are floral designs, interior spaces, fashion references, or images that simply capture a feeling, inspiration helps us better understand your aesthetic.
I recommend sharing a curated collection rather than hundreds of images.
I also encourage couples to build a cohesive mood board using experts like The Mood Brief so all vendors can align around the same visual direction.

We work closely with your planner and vendor team to pivot floral plans when weather requires ceremony changes or indoor moves.
This may include relocating ceremony florals, adjusting installation timing, or redesigning layout for backup spaces.
In cases requiring significant rescheduling or major installation changes, additional fees may apply.
